Overview
Toshiro is a top-tier limited DPS character specializing in critical damage burst. His unique Bankai mechanic allows him to build up Ice Blossom stacks for devastating finishers. He's considered one of the strongest DPS units in the game when properly built.
Core Mechanics
Tens艒 J奴rin Mode
Toshiro's sustained damage form with enhanced basic attacks. Build gauge in this mode before activating Bankai.
Bankai Burst Window
20-second window with 5x Buildup stacks. This is your main DPS phase - never waste this window.
Ice Blossom Stacks
Fully stack Ice Blossom before using Bankai technique for maximum damage output.
Ice Edge
Enhanced technique during Bankai state. Use this after fully stacking Ice Blossom for massive burst.

Weapon Stamps
- Primary: Critical Damage +% (Most important stat)
- Secondary: Attack +% (Scales all damage)
- Tertiary: Critical Rate +% (Until you reach 50% crit rate)
Core Stamps
- Unrivaled: Increases crit rate by 8% for 8 seconds after technique/counter (stacks 2x max = 16% crit rate)
- Ice Mastery: Boosts Ice element damage significantly
- Priority: Focus on Crit Damage if using his signature weapon. Otherwise prioritize Crit Rate until 50%+
Main Stats Priority
- Attack % - Your primary damage scaling stat
- Critical Damage % - If crit rate is above 50%
- Critical Rate % - If crit rate is below 50%
- Spirit Damage Bonus % - Amplifies technique damage
Sub-Stats Priority
Critical Rate > Critical Damage > Attack % > Spirit Attack
Aim for 50-60% crit rate minimum, then stack as much crit damage as possible. Toshiro's kit heavily rewards crit builds.

F2P Team (No Limited Units)
This is the most accessible team. Kisuke provides critical damage buffs, Rukia enables Ice resonance and adds sub-DPS.
Advanced Team (Optimal)
Momo provides additional buffs and snare utility, amplifying Toshiro's burst windows even further.
Combat Rotation
Setup Phase
- Switch to Kisuke Urahara
- Use Technique to summon vortex
- Use 3x Special Attacks to build stacks (60% damage buff)
- Activate Ultimate (applies team-wide crit damage buff)
- Use Technique again in stealth (creates Benihime No. 4 vortex)

Toshiro DPS Phase (Critical)
- Enter Tens艒 J奴rin mode (sustained form)
- Build gauge with basic attacks while moving (stay mobile to avoid damage)
- Activate Bankai when gauge is full (20-second burst window starts)
- Quickly build 5 Buildup stacks using skills and attacks
- Stack Ice Blossom fully (you'll see visual indicator)
- Use Bankai technique via Ice Edge (massive damage nuke)
- Release Ultimate within 20-second window for maximum burst
- Return to Tens艒 J奴rin for sustained damage until Bankai is ready again
Skill Priority
- Ultimate (Bankai) - Max first (Your primary burst damage)
- Technique (Ice Edge) - Second priority (Key burst skill)
- Counter Attack - Third (Provides defensive utility)
- Basic Attack - Last (Least impactful)
Focus all upgrade materials on Ultimate first, then Technique. These two skills define Toshiro's burst potential.
